Boodle’s Club
editA London gentlemen’s club in St James’s, originating in 1762 from a society established by William Almack. It took its name from Edward Boodle, who became associated with its management. One of the principal old St James’s clubs, it was particularly associated with the country gentry and landed classes, and with the Tory and Conservative interest.
