Parker Society

A society founded in 1840 to publish writings of early Protestant reformers of the Church of England. Named after Archbishop Matthew Parker, it was established partly in response to the Oxford Movement. Between 1841 and 1855 it published fifty-three principal volumes, including works by Cranmer, Latimer, Tyndale, Jewel, Ridley, and Parker, which remain valuable sources for studying the English Reformation.
