equity draughtsman

A nineteenth-century barrister specialising in the preparation of documents for proceedings in the Court of Chancery and in matters governed by equity. Such work included equity pleadings and documents relating to trusts, wills, settlements and other forms of property. The expression was common in the nineteenth-century legal profession but is no longer in use.
