The Club enjoys a rich and diverse selection of different events to suit all interests. Talks cover topics of relevance today, such as the science of climate change, the impact of Covid and the future of the universities, while others have literary, artistic and musical themes.
In addition, the Athenaeum Forum Dinners are small informal dinners providing participants with interaction and in-depth conversation on the topics of common interest, and the Brief Encounters series provides short, 15-minute Zoom talks by leading specialists.
There are frequent evenings focused on poetry readings, musical performances, operas, talks and meetings arranged by the various Club Committees and Groups.
