Wall Game

A traditional team game played at Eton College since the eighteenth century, on a narrow strip beside the school’s distinctive curved brick wall. Teams struggle to move the ball towards their opponents’ end and score a shy. The principal annual match, on St Andrew’s Day, is between College Wall and Oppidan Wall. Physically demanding, the game remains an Eton tradition.
