Vinerian

At the University of Oxford, relating to the Vinerian Professorship of English Law, founded in 1758 from a bequest by Charles Viner, and to associated prizes, scholarships, and lectureships. The Vinerian Professor is Oxford’s professor of English law, and the Vinerian Scholarship and Vinerian Law Prize have also been associated with the foundation. The term remains current.
