Judicature Acts
editA series of Acts of Parliament, principally those of 1873 and 1875, reorganising the superior courts of England and Wales. They replaced the separate common-law and equity courts with a unified High Court of Justice and Court of Appeal, enabling both systems of law to be administered together. The reforms laid the foundations of the modern court structure.
