Fellow of the British Academy

edit

By John Simpson •

A scholar elected to Fellowship of the British Academy in recognition of distinguished achievement in the humanities or social sciences. Fellows may use the post-nominal letters FBA. Fellowship, awarded through nomination and election rather than application, includes UK-based Fellows and Corresponding Fellows resident overseas. The Academy elected its first Fellows when it was formally established in 1902.
