Fellowships

Awards, grants, or appointments providing financial support, recognition, or academic status. In universities and colleges, fellowships may support study, research, or travel, or confer membership of a college’s teaching or governing body. They may be resident, teaching, research, or honorary, and are also awarded by learned societies and other institutions.
