FGS

Fellow of the Geological Society, a post-nominal designation used by members of the Geological Society of London. Fellowship is open to professional geologists and others with an interest in geology, subject to the Society’s admission requirements. Fellows may use the letters FGS after their names. The designation indicates membership, rather than necessarily a formal qualification or professional accreditation.
