FRCP
editFellow of the Royal College of Physicians. Historically, the initials particularly denoted a Fellow of the London College of Physicians, founded by Royal Charter in 1518. Unlike MRCP(UK), fellowship is not obtained by a common UK examination but is conferred by individual Royal Colleges in recognition of professional distinction and contribution to medicine. The awarding college may be indicated after the initials.
