By John Simpson •

Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society, the post-nominal designation used by Fellows of the British learned society founded in 1834 as the Statistical Society of London and granted a royal charter in 1887. Fellowship indicates membership of the Society and an interest or involvement in statistics; it should not be confused with the Society’s professional qualifications or Chartered Statistician status.
