GCMG

Knight or Dame Grand Cross of the Order of St Michael and St George, a British order of chivalry founded in 1818. Its highest rank, above KCMG and CMG, is awarded chiefly for distinguished service overseas, particularly in diplomacy and international affairs. Recipients may use the post-nominal letters GCMG and, unless already holding a higher title, are styled Sir or Dame.
