Keeper of the Mixed Wall

At Eton College, the captain of the Mixed Wall, a Wall Game team composed of boys from both College and the Oppidans. The Keeper is responsible for organising and leading the team. The title has been used since at least the nineteenth century and remains in use, although it is now principally encountered in connection with the continuing Eton Wall Game. Being Keeper of the Mixed Wall is a significant sporting distinction at Eton.
