Moral Sciences
editA term used particularly at Cambridge for the study of human thought, conduct, and society, including philosophy, psychology, economics, and related subjects. The Moral Sciences Tripos was introduced in 1848 and first examined in 1851; it became an independent undergraduate honours course in 1861. The term is now chiefly historical, having been replaced at Cambridge by Philosophy and related disciplines.
