Member of the Royal College of Physicians. Historically, the initials indicated membership of an individual Royal College of Physicians, particularly that of London. Today, MRCP(UK) is a postgraduate medical qualification awarded jointly by the Royal Colleges of Physicians of London and Edinburgh and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, following successful completion of a three-part examination.
