Naval and Military Club

edit

By John Simpson •

A London service club founded in 1862 by officers, chiefly from the Army, when existing service clubs were full. From 1876 it occupied Cambridge House, Piccadilly, whose entrance and exit gates gave rise to its nickname, the ‘In & Out’. It moved to St James’s Square in 1999 and remains a private members’ club, now admitting women and civilians.
