Pauline Exhibitioner
editA former pupil of St Paul’s School, London, awarded a Pauline Exhibition to support study at Oxford or Cambridge. University exhibitions for Paulines date from the sixteenth century; their value was fixed in 1565, and by 1573 four were awarded annually. Holders studied at various colleges, and included scholars, clergy, and public figures. The precise conditions and value changed over time.
