Plan of Campaign
editAn Irish nationalist campaign launched in 1886 during conflict over land and rents. Tenants demanded rent reductions and, if refused, withheld rent, paying an agreed amount into a fund supporting those facing eviction. Promoted particularly by John Dillon, William O’Brien, and Timothy Harrington, the campaign operated mainly between 1886 and 1891.
