Reform Club
editA London political club founded in 1836 by Whigs and Radicals who supported the Great Reform Act of 1832. It became the principal London club of the Liberal Party and an important centre of Victorian political life. Its Pall Mall clubhouse, designed by Sir Charles Barry and opened in 1841, is a celebrated example of Italian Renaissance architecture. The Club admitted women on equal terms from 1981 and is now politically neutral.
