The Society of Antiquaries of London, a learned society founded in 1707 for the study of antiquities and history and chartered in 1751. Fellows (FSA, earlier FAS) have included William Stukeley, Sir Arthur Evans, and Sir Mortimer Wheeler. Its publications include Archaeologia and The Antiquaries Journal. Since 1874, it has been based at Burlington House, Piccadilly.
