Tomline Select

At Eton College, the group of boys selected to compete for the Tomline Prize, Eton’s principal prize for mathematics. The prize was established through the benefaction of the Revd. George Tomline, Bishop of Winchester and first awarded in 1837. The Select comprised boys judged to have attained a sufficiently high standard in mathematical study to compete for it.
